I think I saw the most amazing thing
ever yesterday. Kuha'o Chase is a member of another ward in our stake came and
shared a beautiful message with us as well as shared his amazing talents with
our ward during sacrament yesterday. Kuha'o is blind; however he is a self-taught
pianist. It was incredible to shake his hand and meet him before the meeting
and then hear his music touch the hearts of everyone in the chapel and then
finish with a powerful talk on loving others and closing with his testimony. I
would encourage you to look him up; he is an incredible young man with an
incredible God given talent!
Today we went on this sweet hike
with some of our zone to these water falls. It was a blast, I love seeing more
of the Island! This week we also saw lots of Whales. So I am enjoying the
beautiful weather and scenery here in Hawaii! I would have to say I am enjoying
the weather here a little bit more than if I was at home dealing with snow all
day every day!
What would you take with you if you
could only take one thing with you to heaven?....

I know that these things are the
things we will be able to bring with us after this life. Often times I find myself
so caught up in the things of the world these things kind of get pushed to the
back of my mind. I know this is me holding myself back when I do this. As we
focus ourselves on Christ and follow him these are the very things we will be
focusing on. These are the ways we build our foundation on Christ I would say.
Each and every day we should be thinking about these things. How we can improve
and what we can do to take that next step towards Christ. I would encourage
everyone to take a moment to think about and evaluate the last few weeks and
decide how you can change and focus your lives one the couple things we can
take with us to heaven. I know as we do this, life will become simpler, we will
grow closer to Christ, and we will have our foundation built upon him so when
the storms of life come we will be able to stand strong. (Thanks Sister Wilson
for teaching me this).
