Elder Logan Porter: A missionary.. the best calling!

Well, this was a great week. It's getting crazy how time is flying. I remember entering the MTC and thinking "Wow! I'm so unqualified to be a missionary" and 2 years later I feel the same thing. It has been a humbling experience and nothing but a pleasure to serve my Heavenly Father. There were definitely the hard times, but even during those joy was felt every day. I'm grateful to know that these feelings, experiments, and growth doesn't stop when the name tag comes off, it is a lifelong pursuit. I'm excited to come home, very sad to leave the good people of Hawaii, but excited to do missionary work back home with friends, family, and people I meet every day. The mission has changed my life and the course for the future! I have loved it sooo much!! I will cherish and reflect these days every day the rest of my life.
This week we had Zone Conference and MLC. It was so amazing! The spirit was so strong and the direction given was so special! We also watched a broadcast with our mission President. It's always great and uplifting spending time with others that walk a holy path. I think that's why friends are so important!
While on an exchange with Elder Chandler we set a goal to find 5 new people to teach. It was about 8:30pm and we only found 2 each we needed 1 more! As we started our journey to our car that was parked a ways away there was this suburban parallel parking, they also had their windows down. We talked through their window as they came to a stop we approached the car and kinda trapped them lol. One's father is a member of our church. They were all excited about the message we shared and invited us back for the following week! It was awesome to see as we did all we could Heavenly Father helped us out and placed people in our path. It was such a fun week! I wish you all the best this week and hope you find many reasons to smile!
