Saying good bye was so hard to do. He is on to bigger and better things. He was ready to go. Go Elder Porter. Go do amazing things.
Nephi 3:7
And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.
Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
The car ride there was tough on the family. Elder Porter caught a pretty good nap though.
It was hard for her to let her best friend go.
Mom created the tear catcher
The closer we get the tougher it was.
Before dropping him off we took a drive and found a church at the base of the mountain. We had a few moments to be together and say our good bye or see you in 2! Elder Porter gave us each a blessing that was like none we have ever had. His dad gave him one too. It was incredible. And we cried.
This called for milkshakes! With milk being almost $10 a gallon in Hawaii we thought he might need one before he goes. They were so good.
We went to the Provo Temple and took some pics. There was so many missionaries there. It was so cool.
The drop off.... We were even warned how hard this was going to be.
This was the line going in.
The Elders and Sisters reminded us of vultures. I know that's not nice but they sit there just waiting for you to stop then they rush to your car to take your kids away.
This was the Elder that helped Elder Porter get his stuff then whisked him away.
One more hug
and Elder Porter almost seemed to skip away.
He was ready!
Go do amazing things.
Bye for now. You will be missed.
